How to live with linen and mudcloth.

Washing the linen
Cold hand wash or a 30°C gentle cycle in a garment bag. Heavyweight European linen relaxes with every wash; no softener is needed and none is recommended.
Living with Bogolan mudcloth
The mudcloth trim is dyed with fermented river mud, not pigment print. Never bleach, never soak, and wash the first three times alone — the motif deepens rather than fades.
Drying and pressing
Line dry in shade, never in a tumble dryer. Press from the reverse at linen heat and steer the iron around the embroidered Z; a pressing cloth protects the gold thread.
Gold embroidery
Each diamond Z is hand-guided in couched gold thread. If a stitch lifts, do not cut it — the atelier re-couches it free of charge for the life of the garment.
