Embroidery notes
- Gold diamond Z worked top-left of the chest, roughly 480 hand-guided stitches.
- Placket edging in two-ply gold thread, couched so it sits proud of the weave.
- Bogolan mudcloth bands cut to loom width so the motif count stays whole across the hem.
Fabric care
- Cold hand wash or 30°C gentle machine cycle, garment bag on.
- Never bleach — chlorine lifts the fermented mud pigment out of the Bogolan mudcloth.
- Line dry in shade; direct sun yellows undyed linen.
- Press on the reverse at linen heat, avoiding the embroidered Z.

- The tunic is cut with 12 cm of ease at the bust — it should skim, never pull across the placket.
- Trousers sit at the natural waist with a wide leg; between two sizes, take the smaller for the waist and have the hem shortened.
- Inseam is finished at 76–82 cm by size. Free hemming to your exact length is included with every set.
- Heavyweight linen relaxes roughly half a size after the third wash; the Bogolan mudcloth bands do not shrink.
- Petite under 160 cm: ask for the short-rise trouser block at checkout. Tall over 180 cm: the long block adds 6 cm.
