Machine wash cool (30°C) on a gentle cycle, drawcord tied and zips closed. Tumble dry low with two dryer balls so the fill re-lofts evenly. Never dry clean; solvents strip the insulation. Bogolan mudcloth is hand-dyed: keep it away from bleach and oxygen brighteners, wash cool, and dry out of direct sun so the motif stays deep.

Between two sizes, take the larger — every waist is elasticated or belted and the hems allow one turn-up.

Bogolanfini begins as hand-woven cotton strip cloth, joined selvedge to selvedge before it ever meets the dye. It is dyed with a double n'gallama bath with a lime-brightened reserve for the pale ground — the pattern is not printed on, it is drawn in mud and then the ground around it is lifted away.
The tape carries eight-point stars set in a measured grid. In the Bamana reading, Bamana star is orientation after dark — guidance and clear intent. Z-Vibe keeps the motif at heritage scale rather than shrinking it into a logo pattern, so the hand of the maker stays legible on the finished piece.
Mudcloth is placed on construction points, never scattered as decoration: waistband tape, pocket edge, side seam stripe. These are the lines the eye already follows on this silhouette, so the cloth reads as structure — an edge, a facing, a seam — and holds its meaning at three metres and at arm's length alike.
Each length is hand-turned and pick-stitched in silk thread, then pressed over a ham so the tape sits flat, not glued. Tape width and motif repeat are cut to the size band, so a petite run and an extended run carry the same proportion rather than the same measurement.

Sole identity resolved for this style — Z-Grip™ Pant Cut (ZG-3958) on the Z-Grip™ lugged rubber chassis, honeycomb vacuum cells with siped micro-edges, asymmetric anatomical last shaped to the natural toe splay, stack 18 mm heel / 16 mm forefoot, 2 mm drop, laced in narrow Bogolan ribbon lace with a hand-knotted stopper, diamond Z at the lateral wall, Z-VIBE at the medial wall. Tread, last and stack height were made unique to the shoe rather than shared across the register.
