How to use

Four steps, gloves on, under a minute

  1. 01

    Stretch over the toe

    Hook the front of the harness over the toe of the shoe or boot you are already wearing. No tools, no laces to undo.

  2. 02

    Pull the heel cradle

    Draw the rear cradle up over the heel until the chain sits flat and centred under the sole.

  3. 03

    Close the gold Z

    Snap the diamond Z quick-lock across the instep and tug once. The harness should be firm, never straining.

  4. 04

    Rinse, dry, pouch

    Road salt is the enemy of steel. Rinse in clean water, dry, and store the set in its carry pouch between walks.

Safety note: Z-CHAIN™ is made for snow, packed snow and ice underfoot. Remove a set before walking on tile, hardwood, stone or vehicle pedals, and check the chain and straps for wear before every walk.
